About Us

Earth Water Consulting is owned and managed by Strider Duerinckx with 30 years environmental and engineering consulting experience in Australia, India, Africa and the South Pacific. Strider has a varied skillset honed over many years and brings that with a dose of client service to every project that EWC are involved in.

Earth Water Consulting commenced in 2020 in a pivot to provide a more flexible and client focussed consulting firm. Earth Water Consulting professional staff include Arthur Schultz and Robert Laird

Our Team

Strider Duerinckx
BAppSc (Geology), PGDipEnv.

Strider seems to have done it all, found the first known Devonian-aged fish fossil in an area of western NSW, was involved with remapping of the geology of the New England Fold Belt, studied dryland salinity at Wellington, studied Hindi for a year before undertaking geophysical surveys and drilling for water in Uttar Pradesh, helped develop a neutral leaching test procedure for waste classification, has designed and project managed wastewater systems for schools in Africa and Timor Leste, through to remote National Parks camping, cattle salesyards, mine sites and caravan parks, and was there in the early days of the contaminated sites industry in NSW and is a CEnvP for site contamination.

Arthur Schultz (PhD, BAppSc)

Doctor of philosophy in Marine Fish Community Ecology. Arthur is passionate about terrestrial and aquatic ecology, and when not at work will be found down at his favourite beach fishing from the surface, beneath the surface freedriving, or surfing the waves inbetween. When not fishing he has a natural affinity for wastewater investigations, “its all just water”.

Robert Laird (BEnvSc)

Robert spent many years undertaking manual type professions before obtaining a mature degree in environmental sciences. Robert combines the life and manual skillset with a naturally professional and analytical mind, and like a good wine brings out the best of both.
